TEST PREPARATION

High test scores are a VERY important part of the Admission process. Most Universities will accept either the SAT(Critical Reading, Math, Essay) or the ACT(English, Math, Science Reading, Essay), but you can also take the AP exams  in English, World & US History, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art or Languages( Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Italian and Latin).  With the SAT or ACT it is imperative that we have the best possible scores; and often that can make it necessary to re-take one or more of these tests A typical test preparation course class meets 2-3 times a week and consists of 5-7 students of the same grade level.

The Advanced Placement exams can ONLY be taken in conjunction with an Advanced Placement(AP) class offered at the students' High School. They are usually year-long classes with exams that are traditionally offered in the late Spring(May-June), depending upon the school system. Our preparation covers the multiple choice and the DBQs(Data Based Questions that focus on a question and essay assessment of several pieces of evidence. We practice both the Multiple choice questions and the DBQs to assure students' confidence not only in the process but the exam.

We offer PSAT Test Preparation assistance to students in 8th- 11th grade. This exam is used as an EARLY measure of College Aptitude and Admittance. Depending upon the State or School district, it can be tested as early as 8th or 9th grade. The sooner that you begin preparing, the better, as the scores are passed along to Universities and Scholarship programs (National Merit Scholar Program, NHRP, and NAA) during 9th, 10th & 11th Grade. And can be used by High School Counselors for admittance to AP and Dual Credit courses. PSAT score success is an EARLY indicator of higher SAT & ACT scores. Prepping now increases the likelihood that you will be on track for your Senior year AND College Applications.
